Falling

Hello everyone!

Sorry I’ve been absent lately. This summer I realized I had a mess of a draft of “Flip Side”. Many of my details were incorrect and I don’t want my readers to, as a writer friend of mine once did, THROW the book across the room and YELL, “That’s not possible!”. I am in the middle of massive rewrites. Yes, I have said this for MONTHS now, but I can assure you that my beta readers are keeping my feet to the fire on this.

Also, I have volunteered to edit a four novels for an author. It is very forward-thinking and ┬ádare I say, feminist? The author also had a few books previously published in the mid-1980’s. I am suitably impressed and at the same time awed and nervous. Anyone who includes Bitches in a title in 19845 had to seriously be BRAVE!!!

I have also been busy with my belly dance. I performed in Arkansas, and in Oklahoma in shows with two of the Bellydance Superstars alumni. It was healing, emotional, and a summer of growth for me. I stayed, by myself, in a motel in another state, and had the courage to put on the fuchsia bikini and hit the pool. (I am a curvy and short size 12.)

I recently ended up with two orphaned kittens. They are two adorable and mischievous bundles of black fluff. I am now mom, complete with baby wipes, bottles, and formula.I am glad I do not have to change diapers!

I have also undergone a change in my eating habits. I am gluten free, dairy free, and eat as many fresh foods as possible. Friends of mine keep telling me I am losing weight, but I don’t see it.

Okay, enough of my ramblings. Stay safe, stay cool, take care of each other until I return!
